Dramatic Turnaround at Open Pit Mine with Zero Community Support

Background: When Davies took charge of community relations our client's mine proposal was swamped in controversy.

Action: We found that while there was support for the economic benefits, potential supporters were reticent due to environmental fears and negative perceptions of legacy mines. Davies created a new strategy and messaging while conducting a highly targeted, multi-phased direct mail and phone campaign resulting in more than 2,000 supporters turning out for a rally.

Result: The turnaround was stunning, and completely transformed the tenor of the approval process. We expect approval for our client's mine in Q2 2013.
